At the AFOW 12th Annual Inside Scoop members of the community shared stories about the difference AFOW is making in Whistler. Thank you to Stuart Rempel, Whistler Blackcomb’s Senior VP, for giving us a first hand perspective on the important issues facing the mountain. Thank you to Greg Newton and John Hetherington from Whistler Search and Rescue for updating us on their newest project (supported by funds from AFOW). John also presented a wonderful history of the Whistler Museum and Archive Society.
Mission
Our mission is to enhance the Whistler community and foster greater understanding and friendship between Canadians and Americans. Starting as a registered U.S. 501(c)(3), we raised and distributed funds focussed toward health and human services, culture and the arts, and the environment and outdoor recreation. Since 2019, we have transitioned to facilitating direct charitable giving.
