Maurice Young Millennium Place

Maurice Young Millennium Place is Whistler’s center for Arts, Culture and Inspiration, serving locals and visitors alike.

The 22,500 square foot facility opened in June 2001, and is home to the Scotia Creek Art Gallery, the 250–seat Franz Wilhelmsen performing arts theatre, Teddy Bear daycare, a youth centre, meditation room, meeting facilities, music practice rooms and more. Over 40 non–profit community groups and local organizations benefit from the programs offered by Millennium Place and regularly make use of the facility.

In the summer of 2004, the AFOW contributed $15,000 to Millennium Place to be used for signage that promotes the many programs hosted by the organization. In prior years, the AFOW and its members contributed over $37,000 towards the Building Capital Fund of Millennium Place.
